Family Farm Fair

Took the kids out to the London Heritage Farm today for their Family Farm Fair event. This annual Summer event brings together community groups, artists and young families for a fun day in the sun. The fun consisted of
a petting zoo, jumper, balloon artist, arts and crafts table, pony rides, face painting and cotton candy. There were some snack food stands too but the cotton candy stand was by far, the most popular one, especially with the kids.
I personally enjoyed taking a peek inside the farm house which happens to be one of  Richmond's pioneer farm homes. The farm home had six rooms filled with artifacts from the late 19th and the early 20th centuries that showcased the kind of life lived back in the days. Lots of books, pianos, sewing machines, weaving and spinning machines and tea pots. So, if they weren't farming, they were reading, creating music, pursuing hobbies or having tea. What a wonderful life!
